Safe spaces for youth to learn, grow, and thrive
Youth mentorship has been a cornerstone of GLOBCOM since our founding. Through structured mentorship clubs, we provide safe and supportive spaces where young people can learn, interact, and grow — equipped with essential life skills for a brighter future.
Each club is intentionally kept small — comprising no more than 25 members — to ensure meaningful engagement, personalised attention, and strong peer-to-peer connections. Young people are reached with age-appropriate, evidence-informed interventions on life skills including decision-making, communication, leadership, problem-solving, and resilience.
The mentorship model goes beyond basic guidance — addressing socio-economic challenges including unemployment, peer pressure, and limited access to accurate health information. GLOBCOM employs participatory approaches such as peer education, group discussions, role-plays, and community-based activities to foster behaviour change and build confidence.
Small clubs of 25 or fewer ensure meaningful engagement and strong peer connections.
