Sports, arts, and behaviour change
Sports and the arts are powerful platforms for engaging young people. GLOBCOM organises regular sports tournaments and talent shows that promote social cohesion, showcase talent, and deliver key behaviour change messages.
Conducted primarily during school holidays, these activities target both in-school and out-of-school youth aged 10–24. GLOBCOM mobilises young people and delivers vital information on issues such as HIV prevention, substance abuse, gender-based violence, and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
The tournaments attract large, diverse audiences across all age groups — making sport a vehicle for behaviour change that reaches participants and spectators alike.
